چکیده
Novel Fe–28Mn–10Al–C–0.5Nb low-density steel was developed and the room temperature tensile behavior in solid solution state microstructure evolution process during plastic deformation were studied, aiming to clarify dominant mechanisms. The results show that fully austenitic with a low density of 6.63 g/cm3 fairly high stacking fault energy 84 MJ/m2. present exhibited an excellent ultimate strength 1084 MPa elongation 37.5%; addition, combination ductility (i.e., product (PSE) could reach as 40.65 GPa%). In spite energy, deformed microstructures planar glide characteristics, seemingly due plane softening effect. is attributed plasticity induced by microbands leads continuous strain hardening at temperature. Moreover, addition Nb does not change mechanism strengthening Fe–Mn–Al–C steel, can optimize mechanical properties steel.

Investigation of Transformation Induced Plasticity in High Al–low Si TRIP Steel
This study was conducted in order to investigate the influence of plastic deformation on the transformation of retained austenite in a TRIP steel with a high content of Al and a low content of Si. To the aim, appropriate treatments were used to produce the starting material (TRIP steel). The microstructure of the obtained steel was composed of bainite and phases including ferrite and retained a...
متن کاملLow–Alloy Duplex, Directly–Quenched Transformation–Induced Plasticity Steel
A duplex microstructure consisting of allotriomorphic ferrite and austenite at ambient temperature, has been produced in a low–alloy steel, by a simple heat treatment which involves intercritical annealing followed by quenching. The tensile properties obtained are good, with a total elongation of some 28% at an ultimate tensile strength approaching 900MPa. The form of the stress versus strain c...

متن کاملTwin-Induced Plasticity of an ECAP-Processed TWIP Steel
The TWIP steels show high strain hardening rates with high ductility which results in high ultimate tensile strength. This makes their processing by equal channel angular pressing very difficult. Up to now, this has only been achieved at warm temperatures (above 200 C). In this paper, a FeMnCAl TWIP steel has been processed at room temperature and the resulted microstructure and mechanical prop...
متن کاملMicrostructural evolution and phase transformation in twinning-induced plasticity steel induced by high-pressure torsion
The microstructural evolution of twinning-induced plasticity steel during high-pressure torsion (HPT) processing at 573 K was systematically evaluated. Due to the high processing temperature, the formation of a homogeneous nanostructure was primarily dominated by complicated dislocation and grain boundary activities in lieu of deformation twinning. Apart from the grain refinement process, phase...
